Majority of our wedding ceremonies would involve an exchange of wedding vows by the celebrants, presentation of a wedding gift (offering, ring(s), bible, symbolic item, flowers, money), and a public proclamation of marriage by an authority figure.
The ceremony is most times followed by a wedding reception. Music, poetry, prayers or readings from religious books or literature are also commonly incorporated into the ceremony.
But significantly, Special Wedding Garments are often worn, especially by the bride. Most of the time, the bridegroom puts on any color of suit while she puts on the White Wedding Gown which is reported to signify "Purity"
What if she decides to wear a red wedding gown? After all men choose any colour they like....
