Wladimir
Klitschko; the heavy punching Ukrainian and world boxing champion of repute
finally lost his titles last weekend to the British-born boxer, Tyson Fury. He
was dethroned in one of the most astonishing upsets boxing has known, by the
27-year-old Fury in Düsseldorft.
The
former world champion of four sanctioning bodies, holding the titles of the
WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO, who was born on born 25 March 1976 and is reputed to be
the 2nd most longest reigning heavyweight of all time, is only ranked behind
the likes of Joe Louis and ahead of Larry Holmes and Mohammad Ali.
Wladimir Klitschko has however insisted that he
wants a rematch with Fury after losing his world heavyweight championship to
him. Time shall tell the remaining stories.
