Nigerian sprint sensation, Blessing Okagbare has beaten
Usain Bolt, the World Record Holder to the 2016 athlete with the highest
diamond league appearances. Blessing is reported to have participated in 38
diamond league events higher than any other athlete in the world, according to
the records.

Between July 3, 2010 and September 5, 2014, Blessing Okagbare,
a multi-talented athlete took part in 38 Diamond League events where she
specializes in the 100m and 200m sprints and long jump.
Though Usain Bolt was awarded IAAF world athlete of the year in 2008, 2009,
2011, 2012 and 2013, yet he has failed to make as much appearances as the
multi-talented Nigerian. Blessing Okagbare is the Commonwealth Games record for
the 100m women at the fastest time of 10.85 seconds.
Recall that the IAAF Diamond League is a yearly series of
track and field meetings held from 2010 till date and billed to hold again in
London by 2016. It was designed to change the IAAF Golden League, which held
