Chief Mrs Uche Ekwunife is presently leading her rival Bar Sharon Ikeazor with a whopping 284 votes against 35 in the APC Anambra Senatorial Primaries holding at former tourist garden hotel Awka.
Mrs Ekwunife was initially reported to be absent at the venue of the All Progressive Congress APC Anambra Central Senatorial Primaries fueling insinuation and reports that she has been disqualified by the party screening committee.
She was supposed to contest the primary with Bar Sharon Ikeazor and hoped she will get a node ahead of Sharon to fly APC flag.
Mrs Ekwunife just recently crossed over to the APC from the PDP following the nullification of her election by the Appeal Court and serious internal party squabbles in the former Nigeria's ruling party.
