There were
reports that the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission arrested the the
immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate Minority Leader; Senator
Godswill Akpabio! Premium Times investigations revealed that he was
taken in at about 5:20pm, accompanied by few aids and a Senior Advocate of
Nigeria; Ricky Tarfa.But the former governor immediately refuted the claims that he was arrested by EFCC. He stated this on his twitter handle and insists that he has nothing to hide.
