With several corruption allegations and revelations coming out from EFCC, ICPC, National Assembly and many other sectors, it is not surprising that Nigeria is still regarded as one of
the most corrupt countries of the world alongside many others. This is a
worrisome issue; a seriousmata indeed.
President M Buhari collaborated this
fact when he stated at several forums during his electioneering campaigns that
“We Must Kill Corruption Or Corruption Will kill Nigeria”.
As we have always had, there are
allegations and counter-allegations of embezzlement, indictments, protests,
cancellations of election results by tribunals and so on. Those are almost
always triggered of by corruption related actions and in actions from persons at
one time or the order.
